Overview
“She Kills Monsters” is a play following the main character Agnes Evans who explores a fantastical realm of dungeons and dragons following her sisters death. While delving into the game Agnes finds a better sense of her sisters struggles with identity and sexuality. The combination of grief and fantastical elements allow Agnes to better process her sisters passing.
Research
Analysis on the production brought me to many stunning visuals created by other schools and designers. I knew I wanted to create something dark with a vibrant punch of color.
For the composition it was important to incorporate a scene of the main character facing off against a main monster.
Design Elements
I always had the idea to have the main character standing, back turned facing the creature to build this atmosphere of an adventure production
Originally I wasn’t going to feature other monster forms until I looked at the title again. she kills “monster’s” not “a monster”.
Formats
In order to get the most out of each design, I compiled different layouts to fit for bot digital and print purposes. This allowed for arcadia to advertise this design on several platforms
